The Initial Specification for the iOS App

We need to create a mobile iOS (later Android) app that pairs with a Bluetooth switch (hopefully a camera shutter button could work). The initial idea is that the user be able to secretly press the button while voicing a request. The app transcribes it and forwards the url-encoded text to a web API (I will create that API). The app then voices the text response to the hearing aid.

Again: The only thing the app has to do is trap the voice command given while the switch is pressed, transcribe it to text, post it to the API and then voice the API response to the hearing aid.

If something about what is described here is not practical or possible, please contact us am. However, remember that it is important that the use of this functionality is discreet, unknown to others who are present (that is the reason for the switch instead of voice activation).
